·         Graduation in Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences and   Technology of the University of Coimbra , Portugal , 1987.

·         PhD. student in Environmental Engineering, since 2005, in the Environmental and Ecoprocess Research Group, IST, UTL, Lisbon, Portugal, under the supervision of Professor  Susete Martins Dias.

·         Professor (Adj.) at Agrarian School of Beja,  Polytechnic Institute of Beja.

·         Swine  wastewater  treatment  in constructed wetlands using  Vetiver zizanioides.
